he Dominion University College is incorporated as company limited by Guarantee, under the Ghana’s Companies Code 1963, Act 179, and accredited by the National Accreditation Board in accordance with the National Accreditation Board Act, 2007, Act 744. The Companies Code, 1963 (Act 179) and the supporting Regulations and Statutes of Dominion University College provide a broad framework for the legal structure and governance of the University College.

  • University College Governance

    Under the University College’s Statutes, the highest decision making and governing body of the University College is the Governing Council. It is currently made up 11 members comprising of eminent Ghanaians and non-Ghanaians, the majority of which are independent Governors. The current Chair of the Council is Dr. Justice Emile Francis Short
    The principal role of the Governing Council is to set the general strategy, policy and direction of the University College. There is a clear distinction of roles between ‘governance’ and ‘management,’ and members of the Governing Council are not involved in day-to-day executive management of the University College. The Governing Council discharges its functions as governors through sub-committees.

  • University College Management - The Executive

    The Executive is the University College's executive management team, and is responsible for the overall management and administration of the University College.
    The President is the head and chief disciplinary officer of the University College, and Chairs the University College Executive which comprises:
    (1) President
    (2) Provost/Academic Dean
    (3) Registrar
    (4) Head of Finance & Accounting
