Library Rules and Regulations
o library can operate without rules. Certain behaviours in the DUC Library are considered an offense to the correct use of the library.
ll users of the library are to observe the following rules & regulations:
As far as possible silence should be maintained in the library.
ny DUC library staff has the right to stop any activity she or he considers unsafe to the well being of the users and materials in the library.
ll users of the library are expected to switch of or put in silent mode mobile phones when in the library. Phone calls are not permitted in the Library
ood, water ( bottle and sachet), sweet ,pets and bottles of any liquid is not allowed in the library
ll bags including laptops travelling carrier or polythene bags and flat files and the likes if taking to the library will be subjected to an examination on exit
et umbrella and rain coats are not allowed
Those who wish to listen to music must not disturb other users of the library. They must use with their laptops must use their headphone and Students must present their ID cards upon request.
o smoking is permitted in the library.
Users of the library shall not work bare footed.
Discussion is not permitted in the library. Users are advice to minimize noise making to the lowest possible limit.
se of DUC Library Materials: Marking, tracing and tearing of any library material is not permitted.
All users of DUC Library shall produce on request their student/staff identity card or any form of national identification card.
