Dominion University College’s senior management and key staff went into an all day strategy session towards developing a five-year strategic plan for the institution. Covid-19 has changed the higher education landscape in a way that only those with the right strategies may survive in this environment. To help the institution devise a robust strategy, Mr Martin Atta-Fynnan accomplished strategy and operations consultant, former head of Consulting at Delloitte Ghana and founder of Africonsult took the team through a thorough diagnostic session, looking into the weaknesses and strengths as well as the opportunities and threats faced by the institution. The initial session will be followed with data gathering through survey of a sample of faculty, staff, and students to gain a deeper understanding of the perception of key stakeholders of the institutions. Through this process, Africonsult will help the university come up with a five year road map towards becoming a financially stable world class university providing the highest quality of teaching & research based on quality people, tools & resources for teaching and learning in a conducive educational environment.
The next strategy session, which is slated for next week, will review the outcome of the first session and build upon it to work out a five-year strategic plan for the University College.
